My partner and I have now been to NZ and we had the most AMAZING TRIP EVER!!! It was incredible. My partner was blown away by the amazing country and I to (second time around) was also gob smacked by the insane views!
We would just like to thank you for your amazing customer service, advice and knowledge. You made our trip unforgettable and our autobarn van was so good!!! The sleep 3 van for 2 people was ideal in terms of space and the kitchen was great. We stayed in camp grounds every night which was perfect so we could shower, toliet and charge the van up with power so we could have a heater. It was so good!
Where can I leave a comment on how good you were for us? I will also be recommending you to friends would have already asked me about our trip!!!

We're back to the hot summer in Thailand. I just want to thank you for all your assistance throughout my journey from the beginning. Thank you for your quick responses to my emails and call. You guys are very supportive!

We had such a wonderful time driving in NZ and visiting amazing places, witnessing awesome landscape and spectacular views. There were so many places to see on our itinerary but we had to miss some due to bad weather. We enjoyed our bike tour around the lakes in Wanaka on a beautiful day. We wish we could extend our holiday and wish it didn't end so quickly.
We had a good drive in a Maui motorhome it was a good experience to drive this kind of vehicle.
We returned home with so many good memories to tell our friends and family and lots of pictures to show. There will definitely be another trip in NZ!
Highly recommend your company to anyone who wish to travel to NZ!

Good day Gregoire & Cindy,
My daughter and I are now back in very cold (-32 C as I write) Alberta, Canada after a wonderful trip to New Zealand.
I want to thank you for all assistance with our trip. We were more than happy with our Explore self contained campervan - we got 'Statue which gave us no problems at all. Fuel economy worked out to 11 L/100 km, precisely the same as my own van at home. Despite staying only on the North Island, we still put approx 4200 km in the vehicle.
Ultimately we did not use the OK2Stay membership, mainly as we enjoyed the freedom camping experience.
I'm very glad we went with Escape.
I very much hope to return to New Zealand and self contained campers are the way to go. Although I am well outside the usual backpacker demographic, I as more than pleased with our Escape rental, and feel we got value for money.
We have many wonderful memories - Cape Reinga, Kairi forests, Waitomo Caves, Mt Tatanake, Wellington, Napier, Lake Taupo, White Island and Hot Water Beach. Freedom camping at a lifeguard rescue station and at Ohope Beach were highlights. An amazing time for a mother & daughter!

Dear Tania
I just wanted to thank you for your organisation and help to make our trip to New Zealand so memorable.
The camper van exceeded our expectations in layout, comfort and ease of driving. It was most definitely the right choice.
Your suggested route was great, although we did deviate quite a lot, especially when it came to finding lovely camp sites, DOC sites and freedom camps. We found that on the map we brought with us, there were lots of sites marked and if they were by a lake or sea or at the end of a long gravel road or just off the beaten track they were usually in lovely locations with lovely views, local people and not crowded!
We found sites in Dunedin, Queenstown, Picton and Wellington that were not beautiful but were very convenient for exploring the towns.
We loved New Zealand and have thousands of photographs and many many happy memories.

We liked the country and trip very much. Everything was going well, including the Happier 3 Kuga campervan. We had no problems with the car at all.
The only thing I recommend for the holders of the european mobile telephones: Spark only provides reception for the non- NZ - telephones in cities and few other places.

Just to let you know we are back in Sydney after our New Zealand trip.
You were quite right, we were absolutely delighted with the camper van from Kea. I don't know whether you had any influence in our van allocation or not but the one we were given was a 6 berth model with only 900 km on the clock. Everything was brand new and it was clear the van had not been used before. It far surpassed our expectations.
The pick up and drop off was faultless and despite having a couple of minor technical issues (teething problems) we would recommend you, your company and Kea vans without hesitation.

Tania was amazing in helping us to plan this holiday. We had never been to New Zealand before, and knowing we had so much to try and get through, it was challenging to try and sort it out for yourself. I would thoroughly recommend DetourNZ and Tania, because all of our available routes around the island, the 'must see' spots were planned out for us, and with us, and nothing was too much trouble. Their service alleviated all of the worry of going all that way, spending a lot of money in the process, and then missing out on the important experiences, and we had a memorable time because of Tania's help and assistance.

Holiday in New Zealand was remarkable. Always allow plenty of time for you to enjoy the scenery. Walking tracks are must do! if you really want to get the best view out of the nature.

We were in both islands between mid Jan to mid Feb and were apparently very lucky with the weather over both islands. Nevertheless, a beautiful, clean, unpolluted country with generally good wide relatively empty roads , masses of open space and incredible light . Our experience was of a lovely proud people , seemingly driven by nature and healthy lifestyles rather than material possessions.
If situations permitted I would move there tomorrow if they would have me .....

One 'warning' though ...If you go to the sulphur baths at Rotarua you will have a shower after. I advise shower, shower, shower and shower again. The sulphur got ingrained in our bodies and was transferred to all the clothes and bed linen over the next few days. Neither 24 hour soaks of bicarb or ammonia removed the awful smell and we ended up binning the lot. Not a big issue for me but someone with nice expensive clothes would be very upset.
Suffice, I am now an avid NZ real estate observer !
