I spent the first 20 years of my life in Paris. At the end of my Bachelor of International Trade, I wanted to experience somewhere different so I spent a semester at the University of Seville in Spain. This was when I was bitten by the travel bug. A new country, a different language, people who came from the four corners of the world, the experience was magical, rewarding and full of discovery.
On my return to France, I started a Masters in Audiovisual Production, then I started working. But the "travel bug" was still there, and for several years I dreamed of flying to Australia, alone with just my backpack. When I arrived, I found a job and started saving for my journey through Australia.
I was also very tempted by New Zealand, and I spent a month in a van travelling through each of the two islands. I found travelling this way ideal, the country is well equipped for travellers, and we were fortunate to camp each night in a more beautiful place than the day before. A year later, I had to unfortunately go home, but not before a detour through Asia and Ireland.
I decided to have a second adventure on the other side of the world, and I returned to New Zealand. During my first trip, I had spent more time in the South Island. This time I based myself in Auckland, which allowed me to discover the volcanic North Island further. I am happy to find a job with DetourNZ that allows me to share my experiences and advice to other lovers of travel.
