How to change the toilet ?
Changing the toilet is a situation that raises the most questions and apprehension. Gone are the days when emptying the toilet was a dangerous task.
Here is a demonstration by Stéphane to reassure and comfort those sensitive souls who want to be ready when the big day arrives.
Step 1
Put your gloves on! Open the door where the toilet cassette is. Pull the slide handle inside to help you remove the cassette.
|
Step 2
Like a suitcase, it is a short walk from your motorhome to the nearest campsite dump station.
|
Step 3
Remove lid and empty the contents (at the specially designated drain) by tilting the cassette and pressing the button on top left to dispel any air.
|
Step 4
Once you have emptied the cassette, rinse well inside and outside with the supplied hose and fresh water.
|
Step 5
Once everything is well rinsed, insert the chemical packet into the cassette (you can buy these when you pick up your motorhome). This can be done directly into the toilet now or if you forget you can insert one into the toilet once back in the motorhome. Do not break the plastic bag because it dissolves itself.
|
Step 6
Close and fold back down the top.
|
Step 7
Reinsert the cassette into the compartment and push securely back into place. Make sure the pullout handle has been pushed back.
|
Step 8
This small nozzle / hose allows you to fill the water to flush the toilet. There is a level gauge on the left - if it's low fill it up with fresh water. Don't put the blue chemical packet in here!!
Close and lock the door.
